8. Grand Canyon North Rim
This one is for the adventurers who enjoy the road less traveled. Skip the tourist crowds and experience the North Rim that’s visited by only 10% of Grand Canyon visitors. Note: Located two hours south of Zion Ponderosa, the road to the North Rim is typically open May 15 to October 15.
9. Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Slot Canyons
The Grand Staircase begins just 25 minutes from Zion Ponderosa. Make 2020 your year to get out there and explore its hidden gems! Check out Spooky Gulch, a short slot canyon hike located on the Hole-in-the-Rock Road, or Peek-a-boo Gulch, another short slot canyon located in the Dry Fork area of the Grand Staircase. Combine both for a fun loop hike.

10. Climb Angels Landing
Adventurers come from all over the world for a chance to conquer the dizzying heights of Angels Landing. Gain 1,500 feet in elevation over a series of switchbacks and scramble up a narrow sandstone trail lined with chain handrails. The views are worth every step.

As one of the world’s most spectacular and awe-inspiring hikes you’ll ever experience, The Narrows is a bucket-list item for hikers around the world. The entire hike from the entrance after Riverside Walk to Orderville is 16 miles, but you can customize the hike distance to make the most of your adventure.

Located in the northwest part of the park, Kolob Canyon’s 2,000-foot cliffs shouldn’t be overlooked. This remote section of the park features one of the world’s longest arches.

Whether you hike along the East Mesa Trail from within Zion National Park or trek across Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, the view is the best part of this adventure. Be sure to look for the ant-sized hikers climbing Angel’s Landing in the distance!

The hike to Cable Mountain is one of Zion’s best-kept secrets. In winter, snowshoe right from the front door of your Zion Ponderosa vacation home.
